The 2023 MTV VMAs are happening!

The annual MTV awards ceremony return to New Jersey's Prudential Center on Tuesday, September 12, the network confirmed on Tuesday (May 23).

The show will air live at 8 p.m. ET and PT. A host has not yet been named.

"Celebrating one of our biggest nights in music with the Garden State's incredible fans has been our goal since last year's highly successful event," said Paramount+ exec Bruce Gillmer.

Last year's show was hosted by Nicki Minaj, who also received the Video Vanguard Award.

Performers for the show have not yet been revealed. Last year's show included Eminem, Blackpink, Bad Bunny and Anitta.

The VMAs will air across MTV linear and digital platforms in more than 150 countries and territories, via MTV.
