Guess the women-centric film Ranbir Kapoor watched after becoming dad - Times of India

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt entered a new phase in their life as the couple welcomed their first child, a daughter in November last year. Interestingly, Ranbir Kapoor reportedly took a break from his work commitments to embrace fatherhood after he wrapped up the shoot of Sandeep Reddy Vanga's 'Animal' in order to dedicate all his time to the baby.
Interestingly, before becoming a proud dad the 'Brahmastra' actor wanted to see a women-centric Bengali film. Yes, you read it right! While attending a Navratri Puja last year the dashing actor met Bengali actress Ritabhari Chakraborty and when he heard about Ritabhari's film 'Brahma Janen Gopon Kommoti' and the unique subject of the film he wished to watch it at once.'Brahma Janen Gopon Kommoti' speaks of women empowerment and revolves around a young lady who wants to be a priest but has to face all the taboos and hardships we see in our society.

During the Navratri Puja Ritabhari explained to Ranbir how Bengal's Durga Puja is similar yet different from the Navratri rituals. In response, the actor said that he respects every culture in India and then Ritabhari told Ranbir how her film 'Brahma Janen Gopon Kommoti' helped her learn various rituals of the Pujas. Ranbir showed a great interest since the title sounded similar to his recent release 'Brahmastra'. He also promised Ritabhari that he will definitely watch the film and would get back to her after watching it. This made Ritabhari's day as the actress was so happy to interact with the Bollywood heartthrob on various topics.
Alia Bhatt married her 'Brahmastra' co-star Ranbir Kapoor in April last year at their house Vastu, in presence of a few family members and close friends. The star couple had been dating for over 5 years before getting married.
