If you haven't seen the news, Duchess Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, and her mom Doria Ragland were involved in a "near catastrophic" car chase on Tuesday (May 16) after leaving an event together in New York City.

A rep for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared with Variety, "Last night, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and Ms. Ragland were involved in a near catastrophic car chase at the hands of a ring of highly aggressive paparazzi. This relentless pursuit, lasting over two hours, resulted in multiple near collisions involving other drivers on the road, pedestrians and two NYPD officers. "Dissemination of these images, given the ways in which they were obtained, encourages a highly intrusive practice that is dangerous to all in involved," the spokesperson continued.

People reached out to the Palace for a statement and they responded with no comment. However, this is common practice for the Palace as they don't often comment on stories having to do with Harry and Meghan ever since they stepped away as senior members of the royal family in 2020.

Royal expert Omid Scobie added on Twitter, "Spokespersons for both King Charles and Queen Camilla, and Prince William and Princess Kate have declined to comment. I understand that no member of the Royal Family has reached out to the Sussexes since today's news broke four hours ago."

If you didn't see, an insider shared exactly what happened in the car chase, that apparently lasted hours.
